Protest against electoral system

LAHORE

MANY Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League (MQYL) activists took out mock funeral procession of what they termed ‘corrupt and obsolete electoral system’ here on Friday.

A press statement said by this MQYL has voiced serious concern over the present electoral system in the country. They also demanded a new electoral system for the country which would provide equal opportunity to every Pakistani citizen to become a member of the parliament.

President Federal Council of Tehree

K-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran Dr Hussain Muhayyudin Qadri on the occasion said the symbolic funeral procession was aimed to make people aware of the prevailing corrupt electoral system in the country.

He said no one could stop change in the country as people wanted change because of failure of this system. He said the corrupt system would face its real fate (would reach its dead end) on 23 Dec when Sheikhul Islam Dr Tahirul Qadri comes back to Pakistan from Canada.
