Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri arrives in Pakistan





LAHORE: Tehrik Minhaj-ul-Quran International leader, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, Thursday landed in here after the touring the world for four months, Geo News reported.

One of his close aides, Dr Hassan Muhaiudin, other leaders of the movement, and hundreds of followers received him at Lahore International Airport.

Dr Mohiuddin, while talking to Geo News commended Punjab government’s security arrangements for Qadri’s public rally scheduled for December 23.

He also clarified that Dr Qadri had no intention whatsoever to participate in the upcoming elections.

To a question, he said that Tehrik Minhaj-ul-Quran was not against the elections.

“Dr Qardi has returned to Pakistan in the broader national interest”, said he.

He further added the elections could not bring about a change unless the system was changed from within.

During his 4-month visit abroad to Canada, U.K, France, Syria and Turkey Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri completed the translation of the Holy Quran "IRFAN UL QURAN".

Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri also led the Spiritual Tour of Minhaj-ul-Quran (Europe) to Syria and Turkey and addressed conferences and workshops in UK, Canada and France.
