‘Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced the arrest of PM as million-march protestors celebrate.’
As Dr Tahir ul Qadri addresses hundreds of thousands of people in Islamabad outside the country’s parliament building, the Supreme Court announces the imminent arrest of the Prime Minister. In his lecture Dr Qadri explains, “This is not the congregation of my followers, no, look, this is the congregation of 180 million people.”
“We want to establish internal and external security. Those in power import, export and promote terrorism. We want to have security, moderation and freedoms.”
“Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, and other non-Muslims have every right just as a Muslim in Pakistan. This was set by Quad-e-Azam, the corrupt elite have stopped the equality of the people, I have come to bring the equality back!”
“I have not come to seek power, but I have come to give power to you, the people.”
Chief Justice Ch. Iftikhar Chaudhry said the Prime Minister must be arrested within 24 hours. Having heard the news the crowd in Islamabad began celebrating jubilantly.
