‘Peaceful protestors undeterred despite police firing live rounds. Tens of thousands of protesters continue to flood the capital Islamabad.’
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has been accused of using police to assault peaceful protestors. Eye witnesses claim police used inappropriate force against a crowd made up of women and children. In spite of this disturbance, peaceful demonstrators continue to move towards the Parliament building where a sizeable crowd has amassed. Dr Qadri is set to address the audience at 11:00am (PST) and is expected to present an electoral reforms agenda.
